June 1992

The Station faced financial closure and could have been sold to a Rock and Roll station. However, local Pastors and the Christian community successfully raised $53,000 in 5 days to raise support of Gospel radio. Call letters would change from WTOO to WKJV, in honor of the King James Version of the Bible.

Anchor Baptist Church sold WKJV to International Baptist Outreach Missions (IBOM) under the leadership of Dr. J. Wendell Runion

August 15, 2000

WKJV 1380 began broadcasting online, sharing the gospel with the world.
July 19, 2013
IBOM purchased 1010AM (WFGW) from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and renamed it to WKJW.

April 7, 2018

Dr. Wendell Runion went home to be with the Lord.
Dr. Richard Smith became President of International Baptist Outreach Missions (IBOM).

Pastor Phillip Youngblood of Hoopers Creek Baptist Church, announced the 'passing of the mantle' of "The King's Radio Network" under the leadership of the Hoopers Creek Broadcasting Network (HCBN).

FCC paperwork was filed to officially transfer the license of 1010 WKJW to Hoopers Creek Broadcasting Network.

After 33 years, the radio ministry of WKJW, moved locations due to a lease agreement failing. From 70 Adams Hill Rd, Asheville, NC to 71 Hoopers Creek Church Rd, Fletcher, NC
